Dr. Adam Rindfleisch

J. Adam Rindfleisch, MPhil, MD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. He graduated from College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho and completed a Masters of Philosophy at Oxford in Comparative Social Research. He completed his medical training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and his family medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2005, Dr. Rindfleisch completed the University of Arizona Online Integrative Medicine Fellowship and a UW Fellowship in Academic Integrative Medicine. Since that time, in the role of Integrative Medicine Fellowship Director, he has been developing a comprehensive integrative medicine curriculum for fellows, residents and faculty colleagues.

Dr. Rindfleisch has received the resident clinical teacher award, and the Marc Hansen lecture award. He directs the Humanistic Elective in Alternative Medicine, Activism, and Reflective Transformation (HEART) program for fourth-year medical students interested in Integrative Medicine. His interests include dietary supplements, mind-body medicine, health care practitioner self-care, and shamanism.
